Colorado family reunion and prenup. visit : The family gathered in Colorado to tie up some of the loose ends for Emily and Joshua's wedding on September 6, 2009 in Boulder and just to hang with each other. Little Summer was walking around with all of our hearts. She rehearsed some of her flower girl numbers in a very animated fashion. She said "Nana" and "Danny". We feel so special. Alli looks like she is carrying a boy...

“Bringing the outside in and the inside out” with large photo giclee’s for home, office and outdoor living spaces.

"Photographers Andrea and Ken Weissleder are exciting the local art market by printing their locally inspired photos, enlarged in grand scale, onto fine cotton canvas. They create beautiful, expansive and affordable art that celebrates the dazzling environment we all share. The images depict seascapes, landscapes, flowers, wildlife, architecturals and points of interest in our local surroundings. These are not typical tourist pictures. These are artistic representations. The images are printed with all of the critical details of an original work using archival ink and a custom varnishing process that provides amazing depth. The cotton canvas material also adds depth and dimension to further enrich the details. Some of the pictures can be enlarged to 44’ x 33’. The size is determined by the resolution and clarity. They can always be made smaller..

Both Andrea and Ken shoot the photos. They actually view their world through the lens of a camera. They are witnesses as opposed to onlookers. Having moved to Siesta Key 14 years ago, their subject matter has been surrounding them. The fickle lighting of dazzling sunsets at the beach, boats bobbing in the harbor, the flowers in the garden, the birds posing, the light and shadows of our local architecture, etc. are broadly portrayed, yet Andrea and Ken’s mesmerizing images engage the viewer in a contagious passion for interpreting their surroundings. Colors, moods, and lighting, are subjects to be captured while remaining aware and sensitive to delineating the layers within that once and forever moment. There is an essence to be caught with the camera and the magical eye. Andrea and Ken understand how to convey it.

To develop an alternative and artistic interpretation of some of the images, digital photo editing software is used. This is a skillful manipulation of pixels to create an impressionistic outcome."

*** new product***

The latest product in photo giclee’ fabrication is a specific water-proofing process. The canvas and the stretching bars are made to withstand the elements. This art can be enjoyed outdoors as well as indoors. When a garden view isn’t possible, Local Inspirations has an image to brighten up the patio, balcony, backyard, lanai, pool area, etc. as well as throughout homes and offices.

Andrea Weissleder, 63, is a graduate of Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons, school of Physical Therapy. Having retired from her much-loved private practice in Mt.Kisco, N.Y., photography as a hobby has transitioned into a passion that she has been encouraged to share. Artistic photo editing provides a source of additional gratifying creative expression.

Ken Weissleder, 65, is a graduate of Hofstra University business school. He is now semi-retired and dabbles in entrepreneurial ventures including marketing for Local Inspirations Photography. Always alert to his surrounds, he perceives the photo opportunities and grasps them.

Andrea and Ken have been married 42 years. They were high school sweethearts. Now, they are in business together. Perhaps those 42 years have prepared them for the mutual respect and sharing needed to produce a line of images created by both parties which are equally represented. Their individual techniques are very different.
The Weissleders have three adult children who are most often seen with cameras strung around their necks, hunting for that shot. A new grandchild is often the subject."
